These website terms apply to use of the BU Commodities Trading Club website. They are separate from the Club Constitution and do not replace Boston University policies or requirements that apply to the organization.

Informational purpose

Content on this site is provided for educational and informational purposes. Commodity-market commentary, meeting materials, trading simulations, market analyses, challenges, competitions, external resources, and all other information on this wesbite is not investment, trading, legal, tax, or financial advice. Nothing on this website is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any financial instrument or commodity.

Club membership and governance

Membership and Club governance are governed by the BU Commodities Trading Club Constitution. The Constitution sets out matters including membership eligibility, member conduct, officer roles and selection, meetings, Club activities, finances, amendments, dissolution, and more. If information on this website concerning Club governance conflicts with the Constitution, the Constitution should be treated as the Club's governing document.

Under the current Constitution, membership is open to currently enrolled Boston University undergraduate and graduate students and is free of charge. Participation remains subject to applicable Club rules and Boston University policies.

Competitions, simulations, and events

Club trading simulations, market-analysis activities, competitions, speaker events, networking events, and other programming are educational activities. Specific activities may have additional participation requirements, schedules, costs, or rules communicated separately by the Club.

External services and links

The site may link to third-party websites and services, including, but not limited to, Google Forms, news sources, social platforms, and market resources. Those services operate under their own terms and policies. A link does not mean the Club controls, endorses, or guarantees third-party content, availability, or practices.

BUCTC aims to keep website information useful and current, but meeting details, dates, links, resources, market information, and other content may change, and therefore information is not guaranteed to be up to date at any point. The website may also be updated or temporarily unavailable without notice.
